5 Careless Mistakes From The First 'Twilight' Movie

On Nov. 21, 2008, "Twilight" debuted in theaters, kicking off the careers of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, and turing Bella Swan and Edward Cullen into the star-crossed couple for millennials everywhere.

The on-again off-again pair brought in major ticket sales at the domestic box office, starring in the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's 2005 novel of the same name. During its box office run, "Twilight" grossed $ 192.7 million stateside, bringing in close to $ 200 million in overseas revenue.

While "Twilight" was a major hit, the movie was far from Oscar material. In honor of the five-year anniversary of "Twilight," check out five major mistakes from the movie below.

1. Throughout the film Edward Cullen doesn't sparkle in the sunlight, even though one of the markable traits of a vampire in "Twilight" is that they do.

2. When having an intense conversation on the edge of the water in the pouring rain, Edward and Bella appear completely dry.

3. A guy can be seen jumping on a trampoline when he is supposed to be flying in the baseball game.

4. Alice's ability to tell the future only seems to come at unimportant times and not when the family is in danger.

5. Throughout the film, Esme's name is pronounced different ways.
