Her father reportedly uncovered new evidence indicating his daughter was poisoned, but unfortunately there are no plans to reopen the investigation into Brittany Murphy's sudden passing in 2009.
Last week, the "Clueless" star's father Angelo Bertolotti told RadarOnline.com that he had his daughter's hair, blood and tissues tested for "heavy metals and toxins."
Carlson Company indicated that it found 10 heavy metals in abnormally high quantities, but the LA County Coroner's Office stated that the case was officially closed and will remain closed at this time.
Chief Coroner Investigator and Operators Craig Harvey told The Huffington Post, "The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner has no plans to reopen our inquiry into the deaths. We stand by our original reports. We have not been presented any [third[ party lab test results for analysis, so we are unable to comment on the publicized reports of private lab tests."
Harvey continued, "We take any allegations of homicide seriously, but just screaming about a test result without allowing us to look at the test result and what it means is not going to be helpful."
Meanwhile, Bertolotti still believes there are conspiracy theories surrounding the death of his daughter and her husband Simon Monjack, who suddenly passed away five months after Brittany. He also believes that due to her friendship with Homeland Security leaker Julia Davis might have made her a target of the government.
"They were in fact, under surveillance, including helicopters," Angelo told Radar. "Their telephones were wiretapped, Brittany was afraid to go home, because of the sneak-and-peek incursions into their residence and other terror tactics she suffered after speaking out in super of Julia Davis and being named as a witness in her lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security."
