Adam Levine Gets Busted on “Ellen”

He’s arguably the hottest guy on the planet these days, but even Adam Levine isn’t above correction.

During his interview on the “ Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the “Harder to Breathe” hunk was tricked into reading his tweet from March 5, 2011 in which he declared, “I also would like to put an official ban on celebrity fragrances, punishable by death from this point forward.”

Given that Levine was promoting his new line of men’s and women’s scents, Ellen asked Adam why he changed his mind. He honestly replied, “Money is a powerful thing!”

As for his Sexiest Man Alive title, Levine explained, “It’s funny it’s kind of funny, right? It’s amazing. You don’t ever think that’s actually going to happen and then it does and then it’s really trippy.”

“My fiancée [Behati Prinsloo] burst into laughter. Keeping me humble as usual. My mother said that she asked me very sweetly if that makes her the sexiest mom alive. Which is really cute and also kind of weird and I said I guess so. And my father just said you’re welcome, son.”
