In response to the sudden and tragic death of Paul Walker, Universal Entertainment announced Tuesday (December 3) that a percentage of profits from the home entertainment release of "Fast & Furious 6" will be donated to the late actorâs charity, Reach Out WorldWide.
Reach Out is a network of professionals with first response skill-sets, working in tandem with local expertise when natural disasters strike in order to accelerate relief efforts. The 40-year-old founded the non-profit after experiencing the problems with response to the January 2010 Haiti earthquake.
"Fast & Furious 6" will be available for purchase on Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and Digital in less than a week, on December 10th, 2013, and Donna Langley, Chairman, Universal Pictures, stated that, "With the passing of Paul, the world has lost a man who spent a great deal of his life in service to others. We share in the deep grief of his family, friends and the countless fans who love him."
The chairman continued, saying, "We keep Paulâs memory alive and honor his legacy through continued support of Reach Out WorldWide, the non-profit he founded to give hope to those who must rebuild after they have experienced natural disasters."
