He spent plenty of time with Paul Walker while filming âEight Belowâ in 2006, so when Jason Biggs saw tip jars with the late actorâs movies on them at his local Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, he was a bit upset.
The âAmerican Pieâ star snapped a photo of the two receptacles, labeled âVarsity Bluesâ and âFast and Furious,â and tweeted the shot along with the caption, âUmm, am I crazy, or does this seem [exploitative] and in poor taste?â
Right away, a spokesperson for the Coffee Bean issued a statement via Gossip Cop, apologizing for the insensitive lack of judgment.
âThis is completely inconsistent with our brand values and the jars have since been removed. Our thoughts and condolences remain with the many friends and family of Paul Walker during this difficult time. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf would like to thank Jason Biggs for bringing this matter to our attention,â reads the release.
