'Casablanca' Anniversary Celebrated With The Movie's Famous Lines
On Nov. 26, 1942, "Casablanca" premiered in New York City. Fifty-one years later, the Michael Curtiz film is still one of the most celebrated in history. Starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Peter Lorre, Sydney Greenstreet and Paul Henreid, "Casablanca" took home Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Writing, Screenplay at the 16th annual Academy Awards.
