After the tragic death of actor Paul Walker on Saturday, fans and industry insiders questioned the future of the "Fast & Furious" franchise, which had made Walker a star.
Walker, who died in Santa Clarita, Calif. at the age of 40, was reportedly scheduled to film scenes for the upcoming "Fast & Furious 7" this week. TMZ speculated that production on the film will be delayed while an unnamed source told the publication, "No one wants to even think about the movie. Period."
Director James Wan, who is leading "Fast 7," hasn't commented on the film in light of Walker's death. He voiced his distress about the loss of the late actor on Twitter on Saturday evening.

The film, which was scheduled to hit theaters July 11, 2014, may now be subject to rewrites and delays, assuming production continues. An unnamed source with "Fast 7" reportedly told Buzzfeed that the film is still in production.
A representative for Universal released a statement reading, "All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."
