In a predictable turn of events, Chad Hurley, Youtube co-founder, and the man responsible for leaking footage of Kanye West's proposal to Kim Kardashian, fought back against a lawsuit the couple filed against him.
According to Kim and Kanye, Hurley was not even invited to the party, and that he shared "Images he knew were the exclusive property rights of someone else."
However, Hurley insisted that he was never told he was prohibited from filming the proposal, or distributing it. However, he also said that he was asked to sign a waiver afterward, stating that the family could use his image in a TV special.
Hurley claimed he signed the document without reading it, and after being photographed holding it, he argued that it should have been invalid, as he claimed to be misled about its purpose.
The YouTube co-founder has asked a judge to dismiss the case, and for his attorneysâ fees to be paid, while Kim and Kanye have asked for undisclosed damages.
